GBI Ensample Brisbane is a multicultural church that was founded in February 2014, born out of the vision and longing of a few Indonesian families who desired to build God's church in the northern area of Brisbane. Over time, God's grace brought together not only Indonesian families, but also families from mixed marriages between Australians or other nationalities. Together, they form a family of faith rich in diversity and one in spirit to worship together in Brisbane's north.

GBI Ensample Brisbane is currently pastored by Ps. Yosua Ongkowijoyo, a servant of God who experienced a personal encounter and new birth in his youth while studying at university in Melbourne, Australia. Together with his beloved wife, Jessica, and their two sons, Jeremiah and Joel, they now live in the city of Brisbane, Australia. With dedication, they are together continuing God's calling to fulfil the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, namely to proclaim the truth and witness the love of the Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of their community.
